BEDROOM TAX - THE FALLACY OF FAIRNESS
We learn today that the support for people driven into debt by the Bedroom Tax from councils is ending, as funds now all used up after a 300 per cent rise in cries for help.But compassion is an unknown emotion in the political class.
Just when we hear the Bedroom Tax is taxing people out of money they do not have, the government allows a politician to get away with an expenses scandal for a second home, who then sold up for a tidy profit.
And at a time when expenses for second homes for each 650 politicians is around £20,100 a year on the taxpayer.
The government says it is saving millions to the taxpayers by the Bedroom Tax, when the cost of rent arrears, courts and evictions show that to be a complete fallacy.
PENSIONERS LIABLE TO BEDROOM TAX
With the rise in retirement age, then a below pension age partner makes the couple liable for the Bedroom Tax.
Just when benefits being cut to able bodied and disabled alike, part time workers losing housing benefit when unable to find full time work and the welfare benefits cap agreed between all current political class, women lose nearly £43,000 of payout of state pension between 60 and 66 years of age.
When Women MPs kept the pension payout at 60 if within ten years of that age, so keeping payout of best public sector taxpayer-funded works pension at 60 as well as payout of state pension.
That was the Pension Bill.
Far worse is to come with the Flat Rate (Single Tier) Pension fromApril 2016, which deprives women of any state pension, so nil income in old age altogether:

It has never occurred to any politician that the Bedroom Tax costs more in admin, than merely putting single able bodied people into Premier Inns or Travelodges, other cheap hotel chains, or off-season holiday resort bed and breakfasts.So why do councils not do this instead of imposing the Bedroom Tax on all residents asking for help in housing costs?
How?
All social housing and councils just redesignate all homes receiving benefit help, as one bedroomed homes, calling all other bedrooms 'unspecified'.
But then the Bedroom Tax has never been about saving money, but about punishing the poor for the crime of poverty.
BEDROOM TAX SHOWS WHOLE OF WELFARE REFORM MAKES GREECE DEBT INEVITABLE IN UK
Welfare Reform deepens national debt, with more admin cost, when it would have been far cheaper to leave the welfare state entirely alone.
The welfare state began in an England deep in war debt and did not drive the nation into debt, but existed when England enjoyed an age of prosperity from 1945 to 1970.
The Tories have wasted more in 4 years in government on bringing starvation to England, than Labour wasted on welfare reform in last 13 years of their term in office.
This means that the recession has proved Austerity has been the most dangerous idea in modern times for a nation's economy.
Meanwhile politicians get richer and richer on the taxpayer.
WHAT WOULD THE SWANS DO DIFFERENTLY?
THE AUTOMATIC CITIZEN WAGE FOR ADULT CITIZENS
By a narrow 2 votes, Left Unity Party lost the vote in their first national conference, for an Automatic Citizen Wage in their manifesto for 2015 general election.
Their vote thwarted by a belief gone viral that the rich are to blame for the woes of the poor.
Wrong!
In every communist nation there is capitalism and rich individuals, as shown by the recent surge of investment in the UK by the Chinese.
The people actually to blame for wasting funding that should have gone on supporting business in a recession, are personally greedy politicians in all our current political class.
The Swans beseech the Left Unity Party Executive to think again and vote to bring in the Automatic Citizen Wage.
The Welfare State and Pensions need to be automatic to citizens.
So never again can politicians get rich whilst threatening the lives of the poor by the millions.
Hundreds of millions of pounds would be poured into the economy with an Automatic Citizen Wage and State Pension linked to average wage of around £26,000.
There would be no working or unemployed poor.
The disabled / chronic sick could afford to adapt their homes, so creating business and jobs in the community.
And the welfare admin saved could offset far more purple jobs of better paid carers for the elderly, disabled, sick and long term patients, so freeing up NHS hospital beds.
In stark contrast, to the billions and billions of welfare admin money wasted every day.
Without welfare admin altogether, we could:
- Shut all Jobcentres with their sanctions regime
- Abolish the Department of Work and Pensions costing people their lives
- Sack all private contracts about welfare, who pay nil corporation tax
Making starvation a thing of the past, ending return of Rickets in children, a sign of poverty of but a century ago.
